๐ย Interlune (US) announces a $15m raise from Seven Seven Six, Aurelia Foundry, Gaingels, Liquid 2 Ventures and Shasta Ventures. Founded by two of Blue Origin's earliest employees, the company aims to mine Helium-3 from the lunar surface and return it to Earth. Deuterium + Helium-3 is one of the four candidate fusion reactions, albeit with a considerably lower power density than the more conventional Deuterium + Tritium. However, it has the benefit of producing no neutrons.

๐ The UK Office for Nuclear Regulation, U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission join a trilateral memorandum of cooperation to collaborate on the assessment of new reactor technologies. The objective is to improve regulatory effectivness and efficiency. A much needed initiative, let's hope we'll see more!
๐จโ๐ Paper of the week - well, actually six papers published in the IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity by the Plasma Science and Fusion Center at MIT and Commonwealth Fusion Systems.
