🤖 Launch of the Centre for Robotic Autonomy in Demanding and Long-lasting Environments (CRADLE) in the UK, a partnership between The University of Manchester and Jacobs to research new technologies for demanding and heavily regulated industry use cases such as nuclear decommissioning.
🌞 Kyoto Fusioneering (Japan) concludes a 79 M$ Series C funding round led by JIC VENTURES Growth Investments, and accompanied by 6 existing and 11 new investors. The fresh capital and investors' expertise will be used to accelerate core products development and expand the business in the US and UK.
🗑️ The FANC - Federal Agency for Nuclear Control (Belgium) grants permit to ONDRAF/NIRAS Belgian Agency for Radioactive Waste and Enriched Fissile Materials to construct and operate a surface disposal facility for low- and intermediate-level, short-lived waste. Construction work is expected to start in 2024.
